MTG Draft Data

Using trophy deck data from 17lands.com, I created a ranking system that ranks all the cards in the latest draft set based on the percentage of times that a card is found in a trophy deck at Mythic level on MTG Arena.

My issue with the 17lands rating system was that the calculations were made under the assumption that all players are of equal skill level and I believe that is obviously not true. So I wanted to create my own ranking system that would remove that assumption by only include trophy decks from the highest level on MTG Arena.

Percentile refers to the percentile that the card is found in a trophy deck by rarity. For example, "Ark of Hunger" is found in ~30% of all red/white decks that trophied on MTG Arena. 30% for a rare is best in it's class. The scoring system also adjusts for rarity, docking points for lower rarity cards such as commons and uncommons. It also provides bonus points if the same card is also highly sought after in other archetypes.
